Restaurant & Catering Australia Partnerships

With the significant support received by industry partners over the past 12 years, R&CA has become the ‘leader of the restaurant and catering Industry’.  R&CA continually sets ambitious goals to improve the professionalism and sustainability of the industry as well as continually grow it for the benefit of all – our State R&C Association members, their restaurant and catering members, other non-member businesses as well as restaurant diners, suppliers and businesses whose clients, customers or members are restaurant diners.

Specifically, each financial year industry partners are invited to join with and significantly benefit as R&CA:

  • Lobbies and develops measures to improve the sustainability of the industry;
  • Supports the business needs of tens of thousands of individual restaurant and catering businesses;
  • Grows membership to State restaurant and catering associations and;
  • Stimulates industry growth by 15% from $12 billion in 2005 to $13.8 billion in 2008 by motivating diners to eat out more often and spend more when they do.

After 12 years of working strategically and tactically with industry partners, R&CA realises that every business has different reasons for being involved with us – whether it be for access to a fragmented industry or for a genuine desire to assist tens of thousands of small businesses with limited access to information, education and guidance, achieve success and excellence.

Regardless of the objective, R&CA has learnt that the secret to long-term partnerships are:

  • Agreeing objectives and collectively working towards achieving them
  • Offering a variety of ways and means for partners to be involved
  • Closely managing relationships to ensure mutual benefit
  • Keeping the number of partners to a reasonable level while maximising longevity

 For these reasons, R&CA offers a range of annual national partnership opportunities across strategic, trade and consumer marketing platforms. Depending on the level of investment and the status of the partner, partnerships can also be tailored to meet individual organisational needs and objectives, and/or those of different business units.

The range of opportunities also allows partners to negotiate individual arrangements with each State Restaurant & Catering Association, if this meets their objectives.

News from Fosters - A proud Partner of Restaurant & Catering Australia

CASCADE GREEN – A 100% carbon offset beer!

Cascade recently announced the release of its newest and greenest drop, CASCADE GREEN – a 100% carbon offset beer. After first reducing the brewery’s environmental footprint, the full lifecycle of the greenhouse gas emissions associated with Cascade Green – right from the picking of the hops to putting it in the recycling bin – are offset, meaning the net impact of the emissions for the beer is reduced to zero.

Cascade Brewery, long renowned for the quality of its beers and Tasmanian heritage, has been driving year-on-year environmental improvements for over a decade, Winning a number of environmental awards. In the past six years the brewery has cut greenhouse gas emissions by 16 per cent and reduced water usage by 30 per cent per unit of production over this time.

Cascade Green’s packaging was designed with the objective to, where possible, minimise its carbon footprint. For instance, it uses the lightest weight, highest recycled content (minimum 50 per cent) glass bottle currently available in Australia, while the 100 per cent recycled carton is printed with two-colour biodegradable vegetable inks.
